What I stand for:
Fashion is more than what someone wears, more than self expression. Fashion is both personal and interpersonal – it can be an instant self-confidence booster, or a first impression. I embrace my own personal style and harness it to use as a creative output. Some people say what you think, you become. I say, “what you wear, you become”.
There is so much beauty in the world, and I try to capture that within the clothes I wear.
I began blogging on Instagram over 3 years ago when I was in high school. Basically, it helped me find myself during dark times full of bullying, harassment, and emotional distress. Fashion has always been my silver lining. Fashion has helped me define myself. During times when cruel words made me doubt my own self worth, I’d find authenticity and pride within my closet.
Besides fashion, I also am a huge fitness and health advocate – I started a wellness club at my University! It’s amazing – we meet to talk and snack and promote overall wellness, and we also go on trips to fitness centers that offer unconventional fitness like aerial yoga, trampoline workouts, and boot camps! In regards to nutrition, I have been vegan for 3 years (I own fashion items that aren’t vegan but they are often older than 3 years). This being said, I haven’t had meat or cheese or any animal product in a loooong time! I contribute this to my high-energy personality and constant desire to move around and be silly and crazy.
At my University, I study Health Science and Business. I have a passion for human health and previously wanted to go to pharmacy school – but after being introduced to organic chemistry, I decided that I wanted to work in the business side of pharmaceuticals. However, my first love is and always will be fashion.
