This recipe is sure to satisfy any sweet-tooth, especially if Snickers are your guilty pleasure!
This recipe is perfect to prepare on a Sunday afternoon, to have as a sweet treat for the rest of the week! This makes about 9 bars, which are chewy & peanut-buttery, with a thick layer of chocolate that has that snap when you bite into it.
What you’ll need:
1 cup semi-runny PB2
3 scoops vegan vanilla protein powder – I use Shakeology!
2 cups oats – to make this recipe GF, I used Gluten-Free Rolled Oats by Bob’s Red Mill
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
a pinch of sea salt
How to make:
1)Mix all ingredients together, adding in the order listed. This should create a dough-like consistency.
2)Press dough into the bottom of a small tray, or plate with edges – use your hands to smooth out the top!
3)Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on top & pop into the freezer until set. (aprox 30 min)
4)Melt 1/2 cup dark chocolate and spread over the top of the peanut butter & freeze again until set.
5)Cut into squares and store in the fridge
